Fortune Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Fortune stores app-managed data locally with no app-initiated transmission. Apple-managed device backup may apply according to your settings; voluntary support email is separate.

Local app storage

Fortune stores app-managed data locally with no app-initiated transmission. Apple-managed device backup may apply according to your settings.

No account or tracking

Fortune has no account, ads, analytics, tracking, backend, third-party SDK, or runtime AI data flow.

You choose when to share

Share cards are created only when you ask, then passed to the iOS share sheet and the destination you select.

Who operates Fortune

Fortune is an App Space product. App Space LLC operates within the Brain Space ecosystem.

What Fortune stores on your device

  • Your current daily-fortune state and the date associated with that state.
  • Opened-fortune history, including the message snapshot needed to preserve what you saw that day.
  • The history records you mark as Favorites.
  • Custom Fortunes you write and the local information needed to place them in your future sequence.
  • Your selected visual style, appearance, reminder settings, and other app preferences.
  • A local installation seed used to keep fortune selection stable on your installation.
  • A limited widget-state file in the private App Group shared by Fortune and its widget.

The current app configuration keeps its SwiftData stores local and does not use CloudKit for app history or Custom Fortunes.

Daily reminders

If you turn on a daily reminder, Fortune asks iOS for notification permission and schedules local notifications on your device. Fortune does not send reminder scheduling information to an App Space server.

Home Screen widget

Fortune writes a limited local snapshot for its widget through a private App Group container. The widget snapshot contains the information needed to show the current style and waiting or opened state. It is not uploaded by Fortune.

Sharing

When you choose Share, Fortune creates a share card on your device and presents the iOS share sheet. Fortune does not automatically publish or upload the card.

The app, service, or person you select in the iOS share sheet may handle the shared card under its own terms and privacy practices.

What the current app does not do

  • No Fortune account or sign-in.
  • No advertising or ad targeting.
  • No analytics or cross-app tracking.
  • No sale of app data.
  • No app backend or network service used to choose, save, or interpret fortunes.
  • No third-party software-development kit in the current app project.
  • No runtime artificial intelligence or remote fortune generation.

Voluntary support email is separate from app behavior

Fortune does not include a support form or automatically send app data. If you voluntarily email the existing Brain Space general-inquiries address, the message content, your email address, and any attachment you choose to include are handled so the inquiry can be reviewed and answered where possible.

Your email service and the recipient’s email service may also process that message under their own terms and privacy practices. Do not send passwords, payment details, or sensitive information that is not needed for support.

Retention and deletion

App history, Favorites, Custom Fortunes, preferences, reminder settings, and widget state remain on your device until they are changed or removed through available app or iOS controls, or the app is deleted, subject to normal iOS backup and lifecycle behavior.

Support correspondence is used only to answer support requests. We retain it without a scheduled deletion period. We do not use it for marketing, analytics, or AI tools. For questions or requests about retention or deletion, use the Fortune Support page. The sender and recipient email providers may retain the message under their own terms and privacy practices.

Children and all-ages use

Fortune’s bundled content is intended to be suitable for a broad all-ages audience. The app does not create child accounts or collect information through an in-app form.

Changes

If Fortune changes in a way that affects data handling, this policy and the corresponding App Store privacy disclosures should be updated before that change is released.

Contact

For a Fortune privacy or support inquiry, use the Fortune Support page. It identifies [email protected] as the existing Brain Space general-inquiries route; it is not represented as a dedicated Fortune mailbox.
