1. About these terms
Fortune is provided by App Space LLC (“App Space,” “we,” “us”). These terms cover Fortune and its product website. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
Use Fortune only where you are legally permitted to do so, with a parent or guardian’s permission where required. If you do not agree to the applicable terms, do not use the app.
2. App Store license
Your download is governed by the end user license agreement supplied through the App Store. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a different license is supplied with your download. These terms supplement the applicable app license and do not reduce your mandatory rights.
App Space provides Fortune and its support. Apple’s platform terms continue to apply to your use of Apple services.
3. Entertainment and reflection
Fortune offers a daily message for entertainment and reflection. It does not predict events, guarantee an outcome, or provide medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Use your own judgment when making decisions.
Fortune provides one new message per local day. Reopening the cookie on the same day shows that day’s message. Features and availability may change with app updates.
4. Custom Fortunes and sharing
You retain your rights in Custom Fortunes you write. Add or share only content you have the right to use. Do not include another person’s private information without permission or use the app to distribute unlawful or infringing material.
Enabled Custom Fortunes can be included in future daily selections; a particular selection date is not guaranteed. Your private Custom Fortunes are stored locally. Selecting Share opens the iOS share sheet, and you choose the recipient or service. The destination’s own terms and privacy practices apply.
5. Ownership and responsible use
App Space and its licensors own or control Fortune’s software, branding, artwork and bundled content. Your app license permits use as described in that license; it does not transfer ownership of those materials.
Do not bypass security controls, interfere with the app, or copy, modify or reverse-engineer protected software except where applicable law, the app license or an open-source license permits it. Nothing here restricts legally protected activity.
6. Availability and device data
Fortune stores app history and preferences on your device. Removing the app or changing device storage can affect access to that information. Apple-managed backups depend on your settings and are not a separate Fortune synchronization service.
iOS manages notification delivery and widget refresh timing. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every notification or widget update will appear at a particular moment.
7. Warranties, liability and consumer rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Fortune is provided “as is” and “as available.” The applicable app license sets out additional warranty and liability terms.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts consumer rights, warranties, remedies or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. This includes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or personal injury where exclusion is prohibited. Mandatory law continues to apply.
8. Updates and contact
We will publish changes on this page with an updated date and provide additional notice where required by law. Changes do not remove your mandatory rights. These supplemental terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver or an exclusive court location.
